After you've taken some time to reflect over the past year and grieve the losses, gather all the positive moments in one place - a journal, a piece of scrap paper, a sticky note, your phone . . .

Take time to be grateful
Take time to be grateful

Again, find some time. Some quiet space. And bring those positives forward. Think about each experience, bring back the memory, the emotion, the visceral responses. Remember. And choose to be grateful.

A wise man once said that a joyful heart is good medicine. Where better to find joy than in the beautiful blessings of 2025. Recalling positive experiences gives our brain a small hit of dopamine and helps our heart rate to steady. Thinking about the good things we have experienced can help us balance our often-cynical perspective and bring a greater vision of our reality.

For it is in gratitude that we find satisfaction. As we take time to accept where we are from where we have come, we can settle into the present and begin to look to the future.

So today, make some space for gratitude!
