Ann Gilligan has spent years studying the physiology of labor and birth and offers an opportunity for practitioners to get hands on in improving healthy positive outcomes for our mamas and babies.
- Recognize the importance of optimal fetal positioning for birth as it relates to maternal and fetal morbidities. Anatomy and physiology of the bony pelvis, surrounding lower uterine supports and fetal skull will be defined.
- Be made aware of lifestyle alternations which help prevent fetal malpositioning at term.
- Learn how to identify fetal malposition at term gestation, within your scope of practice, using subjective and objective information.
